How were these sizes checked?
We copied the drill diameter, minimum drill-hole depth and wood/chipboard screw range from the technical-data section of each linked fischer UK product page. Each row names its exact article number and source. The substrate selector checks fischer's published building-material list for the DuoPower family; it does not calculate holding strength or confirm that your particular wall is sound.
fischer states that the required screw length is the plug length plus the fixture thickness plus one screw diameter. The screw ranges above refer to diameter, not length. Read the full maker instructions for installation details.
What does the finder leave out?
It does not recommend a load, a fixing for overhead or safety-critical work, a drill mode, or a screw length without your fixture thickness. Plasterboard, hollow brick and damaged masonry need particular care because the actual substrate and installation can differ from a catalogue example. If you cannot identify the wall or the packet SKU, check the maker's guidance or ask a qualified installer before fixing a heavy item.
Rawlplug's UNO with screw technical card was reviewed for this project, but its size-family installation table and multiple pack codes need a separate SKU mapping before we present them in this exact-pack finder.
