Bosch GCL 2-15 line accuracy checks

For red-beam GCL 2-15, article family 3 601 K66 E... Follow the diagrams in the Bosch manual, English pages 21–23. Select automatic levelling, let the beam settle and mark its centre. This record does not adjust or certify a tool.

1. Horizontal-line height / two walls 5 m apart

  1. Near wall A, use cross-line mode; mark crossing centre on A as I.
  2. Rotate 180° in place; mark crossing centre on B as II.
  3. Move close to B without rotating; adjust height to align exactly with II.
  4. Rotate 180° without changing height; aim vertical line through I; mark crossing centre on A as III.

Maker's maximum: I–III separation 3 mm at the specified 5 m spacing (2 × 5 m × 0.3 mm/m).

2. Horizontal-line level / clear 5 × 5 m area

  1. Midway between walls A and B, use horizontal-line mode; mark line centres I on A and II on B, each 2.5 m away.
  2. Move tool 5 m parallel to the walls, still midway between A and B; rotate 180° and adjust height to align with II on B. Follow the Bosch manual diagram.
  3. Mark line centre on A as III. Measure I–III separation on A.

Maker's maximum: I–III separation 3 mm in this specified setup.

3. Vertical-line level / doorway

  1. On firm flat ground, not a tripod, place tool 2.5 m from door; use vertical-line mode.
  2. Mark floor at doorway I, floor 2.5 m beyond doorway II (5 m from the original tool), and upper doorway edge III.
  3. Rotate 180°, place directly behind II; align line centre through I and II. Mark upper edge IV.

Maker's maximum: III–IV separation = 2 × doorway height (m) × 0.3 mm/m. At 2 m high, 1.2 mm.

If a check exceeds its limit: repeat the setup and marks; Bosch says to send the tool to its after-sales service for repair if it still exceeds a maximum. Do not treat this as an owner-adjustment guide.
